The management team for ARIOPS got in touch with me to migrate their website from a static website, built on the Hugo framework (Hugo is a superb, and very fast platform for building static sites, I’ve used it on a few of my other projects), over to a more user friendly WordPress based project as it allows the end user a login to update and edit content on the website directly.
I was able to assist by first migrating the old site away from the old host, onto a new hosting platform on Netlify while we redeveloped the website in WordPress. Once the redevelopment was complete, we launched on WordPress, with a new forum system built with BuddyPress.
The result is a clean and informative community based website with conference pages to detail all the information about the annual ARIOPS conference.
